Our Vineyards

South Australia stands out as the prized destination in Australia for wine cultivation and production. Renowned regions, vineyards, and winemakers, coupled with numerous prestigious local and global accolades, underscore its extraordinary reputation.

CHEN CRYSTAL AUSTRALIA supplements its Riverland wine region harvest by sourcing grapes from 42 meticulously chosen and similar-minded vineyards across premium South Australian regions such as the Barossa Valley, Coonawarra, Langhorne Creek, and the Adelaide Hills.

The Riverland

Nestled alongside the rejuvenating River Murray, South Australia's Riverland wine region experiences a delightful Mediterranean climate marked by warm, dry summers, relatively mild winters, and an average yearly rainfall of only 250mm.

As the largest wine-producing area in Australia, it boasts a plateau featuring deep red, clay-penetrated soils overlaying a limestone base, contributing to nearly a third of the nation's overall wine output. Within the Riverland lies CHEN CRYSTAL AUSTRALIA, a family-owned and operated vineyard covering 550 hectares, yielding approximately 12,000 tonnes of grapes annually and crafting around 8.5 million liters of premium wines, much of which is exported to over 15 countries, including China.

Driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence, CHEN CRYSTAL AUSTRALIA continually seeks out the finest fruit parcels across the state, augmenting its Riverland vineyards with grapes sourced from some of South Australia's most esteemed wine regions.

The Barossa Valley

Located just 70 kilometers northeast of Adelaide and neighboring the Riverland, the Barossa Valley stands as Australia's foremost, and globally renowned, wine region, celebrated for its exceptional Shiraz varietals that delight discerning palates.

The Coonawarra

Slightly more distant is the Coonawarra area, also globally esteemed for crafting outstanding red wines. Its allure is rooted in a fusion of South Australia's fertile red terra rossa soil, limestone, pristine underground water, and an extended cool ripening period, with the cool climate lending an additional dimension to its wines.

Likewise, the cool climate locales of Langhorne Creek and the Adelaide Hills have been thoughtfully selected to enhance the diversity and excellence of CHEN CRYSTAL AUSTRALIA' South Australian wine portfolio.

Langhorne Creek

Langhorne Creek produces some of the finest Australian wine, with the earthy quality of fruit greatly appreciated by Dominic’s winemaker Linley Schultz.

Adelaide Hills

The Adelaide Hills wine region, where numerous vineyards grace hillsides at approximately 600 meters above sea level, yields remarkable Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay grapes, contributing to Dominic Wines' collection of white wines renowned for their exceptional quality.
